A lot to Cover, not gonna get to it all
As the title says ill try to be brief in this one and keep the highlights and tell you what to expect soon.
As an opening ill start with the whats to come. I bought Guild Wars, and im going to give it a review soon, it may be surprising it may not be, the end of it might be. I also when E3 is over this week give my overview on it and comment on all the next gen stuff.
But first lets start with what you will see now. PARC!!! Yes we had the lovely PARC, for those who don't know that's Pennsylvania Robot Challenge. I suppose it wasnt as good as it thought it was gonna be because PARC runs on the heels of Regionals so it wasnt Regionals but it was still fun. The day started out with me being dropped off at the school parking lot waiting to be picked up. Lo and Behold not only are we taking our bot but also 2 bots of 56. We towed their trailer with our bots and there were also some kids from 56 riding with. We arived at PARC a little late but nothing to complain about that it was still a relaxed atmosphere. The day started out with practice rounds, we did good in those as always cause we have a high standard of excellence... or i like to think so. After that we lost our first match, ah well. We won every single one after that except for one later on in the day. Was a good run anywho to play with the bot again. During finals we were in seat #7. However PARC was run like a Regional so the top seeds could pick other top seeds. 103 was number one and they picked, who would think it but, 56. 3 picked 4, 4 picked 6. On our turn we picked 365-MOE. Their a great robot to say, their efficient and their quick. Our first match we lost, sigh. Second match we won YAY, but only really on a technicallity which we were held against on our first match during qualification rounds. One of the Red bots (we was blue) was touching the tetras to get back behind the line, thus nullifying the goals and rows created. We won by one point. Our 3rd match was very funny. Forgive me if this is not the match im thinking about but i know that this did happen. 365 goes for human, and we are going for another goal, one of the middle. One of the robots tries to come hitting us and block us however their center of gravity is a little off. They pushed us, we didnt budge however they started to sway and fell right over into the human loading zone blocking 365, thus forth they get a penalty for that. The rest of the match had alot of capping going on. By the end we tried to get back but realized that MOE was going for a long drive. I start screaming myself "GO MOE GO MOE GO MOE" "GOMOE ORAGATO MR. ROBOTO!" Their going for the far corner goal, their arm comes up with tetras in it with 5 seconds remaing and they get WHAMED into the side and they go over outside of the arena. The other team gets penaltys big time. One for being in the human loading zone and another for an S1 violatoin of safety for intentionally shoving MOE out of the arena. Our 3rd match was against the really really really powerfull dudes. 56,103, and 25. We got devestated in our first match. Something like 80 to 16, very bad scores for us. Our second match against them involved alot of pushing on our side and we did manage to push the juggernought 25. we got wiped out and lost. Rest of the day ended up with 103, 56, and 25 taking 1st place. Was a Fun time all in all. Congrats to you guys.
